Different people live on different time scales.
This is a really common source of misunderstandings.
Some people are wired to live in a more present moment. These people are often more expressive about a day to day change that happens in their life but adapt to it more quickly.
Others are wired for more long term thinking, these people often appear less bothered by a small day to day shift, because they’re looking at the longer outcome, but they actually take longer to adjust.
They’re both incredibly valuable types of people, we need both and we all need to be a little bit of both.
But it can help to understand that when you talk to someone about a particular event or change. They might be looking at it from a different perception of time than you do. And it may give you an edge to shift the conversation towards a positive outcome.
