An act of authenticity requires you to do something that you believe to be true to something else you believe in.
Think of your actions as leaves on a tree that connect to branches of truth and reality that shape your worldview supported by a trunk of fundamental beliefs fueled by a spider web of past experiences and animal instincts you feel unconsciously all the time.
If you are that tree and you grow a leaf of action supported by that knowledge and truth it will thrive. If it’s not then it will die. Sometimes you need to prune branches of your belief or need to shift something at the very core of your being to be your best self. But the more your day to day actions align with the supporting structure of reality the more you will thrive.
