This is called the paradox of self-development… you must accept yourself as you are and keep improving.
And to a lot of people this doesn’t make sense.
Because why would you keep improving when you’re fine just the way you are?
It feels like an impossible problem.
How do you love a 12-year-old when they can’t do what a 13-year-old can do?
Unless you’re a terrible person you appreciate where they’re at and show them how they can grow.
Being older doesn’t make your personal growth process any different.
Stop yelling at yourself from inside your head. Accept that you are where you are. And go be better.
