Whether you’re coming up with creative things to do in bed or painting the next Mona Lisa, rules make great things possible.
To decide what color scheme you’ll use, what notes you’ll play, or what materials you’ll build with, is to define many aspects of what you create, and this enables you to have ideas within that set of limitations that are realistic, coherent, doable, and exciting.
Impossible ideas are easy, possible ones are far more difficult.
If you push your capabilities by creating more and more amazing things within a certain set of limitations. Those limitations won’t be shackles, they’ll be strong foundations that give you confidence and enable you.
