To improve yourself,
you need to do the thing that makes you feel like a bad person.
If you have low boundaries, you need to stand up for yourself, and that’ll feel like you’re offending people because you’re not used to saying no or telling others what you want.
If you have hard boundaries and need to be more considerate of others, being considerate might make you feel like you aren’t standing up for what you believe in or that you’re ignoring your own needs.
The thing we need to do to move forward is often the thing that makes us feel like we’re bad.
We aren’t avoiding the growth because we’re lazy or scared.
We don’t want to do it because we don’t want to be bad.
But the feeling of being bad isn’t the same thing as the action.
And the thing that we feel hesitation towards is often the thing that we need to sink into the most.
