We make a terrible mistake of assuming we should know what’s going on.
This makes utterly no sense, particularly if we’re high achievers. If someone seems like they really have it together it’s more likely that they’re dealing with things they don’t understand on a regular basis.
Because progress comes from dealing with the unknown, and humans desire progress. So if you know exactly what’s going on, and you refuse to take action until you’re certain you understand what will happen, you’re done for.
Think about how a baby learns. They look at a new object and they go oh my god what is this I don’t understand it at all, this is crazy, I’ll put it in my mouth.
This is called being human.
Don’t wait to understand before taking action. Just understand as best you can and trust that the action will educate you the rest of the way.
