It’s a skillset to go after what you want.
And most of us don’t do it often enough. We have a couple specific dreams we’re working toward, and then we occasionally give up, blow off steam, and go after something that makes us feel terrible the next day.
But how often do we plan for the specific concert that’s on our bucket list and go to work with a smile the next day even though we’re tired? Or plan a specific meal that has something we’ve never tried, that will be fun and make us feel good?
How often do we pick a job to do today that makes us feel like we’ve really accomplished something? Or have a conversation about the thing we want to talk about?
I believe that if we can do this more often in the small things, it will teach us. It will make us more knowledgeable and it will teach us how to go after the big things.
