When you get your life together and achieve the things you want to, you have to guard against your desire to take every opportunity.
If you’ve been having trouble, and things start working, it will be tempting to do everything. But you’re still a person. You still get tired.
Telling yourself, “I didn’t do quite as much today as I did yesterday, so I’ll work an hour longer to make up for it today.” Is a slippery slope down a dark path.
If you’re feeling better and things are going your way then that means what you’re doing is working. It doesn’t automatically mean you can do more.
It doesn’t mean you should start working harder. It just means you did good.
It doesn’t mean you can indulge in the same anxiety ridden behavior that got you in trouble in the first place.
When life bumps onto the fast track you have to be more careful, no less.
