Your fear is a bad leader.
Every time you act on a fear and survive it gives your mind more reason to act on that fear next time.
You brain doesn’t do the math to realize that, in many situations, not acting on your fears also would have resulted in your survival, and possibly an even better outcome.
There’s a difference between validating your negative emotions and encouraging them.
When you feel fear, accept that you feel it. Embrace the sensation. But make a decision that only uses that fear as one piece of information about your situation among many.
Let your fear be a part of you. But don’t let it be who you are.
