If you’re struggling with anxiety and exhaustion one of the most valuable things you can do is make decisions more quickly.
Besides running from a lion, trying to make a choice between two options is one of the most exhausting things you can do.
And it makes you anxious because anxiety is the experience of future problem solving and the more time you spend deciding something the more you will be living in the future and imagining a disaster in either direction.
But if you practice making a decision and sticking with it until you have obvious information that you should take a new direction then you will find yourself letting go of the anxiety and gaining energy as you relax into your commitment to a specific direction.
