If you want to grow as a person you have to be willing to balance persistence with a willingness to change.
There are times when you’ll need to keep doing something even when you don’t want to.
There are just as many times when you’ll have to let go of an old habit to do something new.
You must develop the wisdom to know when you should do one or the other.
And usually, you’ll need to be persistent when you want to change plans and be willing to change when you want to be stubborn.
The way to tell which way you need to be is by letting go of what you want right now, taking responsibility for your future self, and deciding what will make you a better person tomorrow.
