If you have something simple or easy that you know will improve your life, but you’re distracted by other stuff your brain thinks is more important, it’s because you’re in scarcity.

You don’t believe that the task ahead of you is enough.

Even though you know it’s important, it also feels like a risk. And you’re afraid that once you’ve done it, you won’t be any better off now than you were before and that you’ll have an overwhelming number of things to do afterward.

You have to believe that the task ahead is enough so that you can set up boundaries in your mind around what you’re doing.

If you question it, you’ll never stop thinking about the other tasks, and you won’t get anything done.
